Over Six Decades of Community Support

To mark their 60th anniversary at the beginning of 2006, McDougall Insurance Brokers Ltd made a donation of $15,000 to the new Belleville Public Library and John M. Parrott Art Gallery. In recognition of their support, the library has named the Young Adult area after McDougall Insurance.

About the donation, Ross McDougall, president of McDougall Insurance Brokers Ltd said, "I am proud to play a role in supporting the Belleville Public Library and Art Gallery. It is an important part of our community and the future of downtown Belleville. It encourages literacy, is a destination for the youth, a meeting place, promotes the arts, and is a great place to learn."

It's Our Neighbourhood Too!

McDougall's community involvement has spanned all 60 years of its existence. From arts and cultural projects to sports and athletic events, McDougall people have been engaged and involved. After all, it's our neighbourhood too! McDougall takes pride in being a family company. To thank you for valuing us as your insurance broker, we host customer appreciation events and encourage a close community atmosphere wherever we are. Some examples of those who have benefited from our support are: Belleville General Hospital, Trenton Memorial Hospital, Oshawa General Hospital, Operation Red Nose, Quinte Children's Foundation, Lung Association, Festival of Trees, Community Policing, and local school boards. We have also been involved with the United Way, Albert College in Belleville, the YMCA, and many more organizations and events.
