The Big Grant, For Small Business

We have some exciting news! We have partnered up with Grenville Mutual Insurance Company to offer a grand total of $10,000 to small business owners who have been impacted by COVID-19. We are calling the contest: The Big Grant, for Small Business.

What is the contest?

The Big Grant, for Small Business contest, is a contest open to the public. The contest has a geographic focus in Ontario and the communities that surround our 39 branch office locations. The grant was created with the intention to help improve our small businesses within our local communities. Grant applications will be accepted from October 1st, 2020 – October 30th, 2020. The top 3 small businesses will be selected by a panel of judges and The Big Grant,for Small Business winners will be announced on Monday, November 2nd, 2020. We will be awarding $5,000 to the 1st place winner, $3,000 to the 2nd place winner and $2,000 to the 3rd place winner.

How do I enter?

Small business owners will have the opportunity to submit a short essay style submission to our Facebook contest page.

The maximum length of each submission is 500 words. There is a limit of one submission per organization/group.

In the submission please tell us: who you are, what your business does, how you have been impacted during COVID and what you would use the money for.

Any legal business is eligible to participate in the grant contest. All grant submissions must be valid for any age audience. Any plagiarism or inappropriate language will result in immediate elimination from the contest. All essay submissions will be approved before they are entered into the contest for public viewing. Please ensure all contest requirements are met to avoid elimination.
