FAQ
The best thing to do is contact your broker directly. Our companies withdraw payments in different ways, your broker will know the best way to get the payment addressed. Your McDougall team will notify you as well if a balance is owing and will tell you the best way to pay the amount owing.
Our companies handle payments differently. If your policy costs $1200 for the year and you choose to do monthly payments some of our companies will take a double payment off the top. Your first payment would be $200 with 10 remaining payments of $100. Other companies spread the payments equally over 11 months so you would have 11 payments of $109. If you are unclear about your payment schedule please contact your broker team!
If you missed a payment you may be charged with two NSF fees. Your bank will charge an NSF fee for not having the funds in the account. Your insurance company also charges an NSF fee if the funds are not in the account. It is important to try and always have the required balance in your account.
