Ross is the current CEO of McDougall Insurance, and the chair of our firm’s Board of Directors. The longest tenured member of McDougall Insurance, Ross began his career here at the bottom of the corporate totem pole: in a broom-closet converted into an office, starting at the tender age of 21. Although Ross insists it built character (as did his walks to work – uphill both ways; in the snow), he has ensured that other newcomers to the firm enjoy more normal working conditions.
Ross and McDougall Insurance have grown up together, and there is no one who better embodies our firm’s core principals of integrity, compassion, and of course, frugality, better than our leader. Whether it’s through guiding our current generation of service providers, or through his current work finding strategic partners to help expand McDougall Insurance across Ontario, Ross can be counted on for his wisdom and insight, and he brings the same determination and enthusiasm to his work now as he did back when he first started, some 50+ odd years ago.
