McDougall Insurance Family Fund Contest

McDougall Insurance is giving away $5000! That’s right, the McDougall Insurance Family Fund online contest is back. McDougall Insurance is ready to accept short videos from non-profit organizations for the chance to be awarded the grand prize of $5000 to go towards a community project of their choosing.

The contest is social media based using Facebook as the campaign platform to allow community non-profit organizations to submit an application video to promote their community initiative for the chance to win the grand prize. McDougall Insurance has always strongly believed in supporting local community projects and this contest gives the opportunity for many smaller community initiatives to be placed in the limelight with the chance to take home the $5000.

The contest has seen great success in the past and every year more organizations take part and the voting gets harder. Each captivating video can be up to two minutes in length and should explain;

• Who the organization is
• What type of community projects they offer
• How their organization would use and benefit from receiving the grand prize of $5000

The online contest will focus on Eastern Ontario, as this is where our branch communities are located.

The previous two winners include; Queen Elizabeth Public school from Picton and the Wilno Community Centre in Wilno. Queen E put the $5000 towards building a nature garden for students and the Wilno Community Centre used the prize winnings to build a new furnace for their facility.

1^st Round

Video Submissions: There will be a public video submission period from 12:00AM May 2^nd, 2016 – 12:00PM May 13^th, 2016 on our “McDougall Family fund” contest page.

2^nd Round

Top 10 Selection: May 14^th-17^th, 2016 the McDougall Family Fund panel of judges will select the top 10 video submissions to be announced May 18^th,2016 to move on to the final round of voting.

3^rd Round

A public vote will be open from May 18^th – May 31^st, 2016 to vote on the final 10 videos.The winner of the $5000 will be completely based on the public voting and the video that receives the most votes will receive the grand prize. Limit of one vote per person, per day.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER: To be announced Wednesday June 1^st, 2016.
