Welcome Burr Insurance to the Team!

Burr, is it cold in here? Not anymore, we are heating things up with the addition of Burr Insurance to the McDougall Insurance team! Burr Insurance is a very successful brokerage located in Belleville. They are actually located in the same place as the McDougall Insurance head office, just down the hall in the same building in Century Village. And as of July 1st, 2021 they are now apart of the McDougall Insurance & Financial team!

All Burr Insurance employees are remaining with our organization and they will be transitioning to our head office in Belleville.

We are very proud to have the opportunity to continue to provide great service to Burr Insurance clients. Burr Insurance has provided insurance advice to customers in Belleville and the Quinte region for 93 years. This third generation business was founded by Jim Burr’s great grandfather Clayton Burr in 1928 and successfully continued with Jim’s father Doug Burr until Jim took over as President in 1989. Jim Burr will remain with the newly merged organization to continue to service their customers. Burr Insurance has provided personal, business and farm insurance to clients in the Quinte Region.

Clients of Burr Insurance will be happy to know they now join with McDougall Insurance to form an independent broker with 40 offices in Eastern Ontario, the Ottawa Valley and Central Ontario with 450 employees with over $450 million in property casualty premium and a strong and rapidly growing financial services division. Thanks to our size we are able to offer our Burr clients with more insurance markets and options for their insurance needs.
