Darren was born in Oshawa, but has lived in the Bancroft area for the last 30 years
Darren loves to fish! He enjoys being outdoors with his family in the summer months – he loves the relaxing feeling of being out on the water. He’s also a die hard sports fan – he loves watching hockey, is on a hockey team and plays baseball in two leagues. Plus, he coaches his daughters on a couple of their soccer teams. Their sport of choice is Gymnastics.
His favorite food is pizza, although it’s hard to beat fresh corn on the cob in the fall!

How much Darren loves spending time with his family. It’s what drives him to give his all every single day, and it’s what truly makes him happy. That will never mean he doesn’t have the time to help his customers, but it does mean that his girls are his life, and that you can safely find Darren with them on the weekends and after work.
How he got involved in insurance:
Darren worked in electronic appliance sales for several years, but as he developed a family the requirement to work until 7pm on weekends and weeknights became difficult to juggle with the needs of family life. Luckily, he was able to find a job where he could still help people (now providing them with peace of mind instead of the latest gadgets), but that was more flexible to the needs of a dad.
What he brings to the table to help his clients:
Darren is honest, and has integrity. He isn’t trying to sell you extra to pack on commission – Darren wants to get you the help you need to have your insurance done correctly. He isn’t the type to mince words, and his straightforward approach is a great help to his customers. Darren also cares deeply about each person he represents – and regularly goes above and beyond the normal call of duty to make sure they are happy and safe.
What he thinks is important in a relationship with a client:
Trust. That’s what Darren strives to build when he is with his clients, and is why honesty and integrity are the greatest benefits he brings to his relationships. The most important thing to him at the end of the day is that his clients trust him, and when they leave his office they understand their insurance policy. Darren has a great knowledge of insurance that he has developed over his career – and he wants his clients to understand that he has what it takes to get them the best insurance, in both content and price. He would do anything for his family – and refuses to let his clients down.
