Welcome Dusome Insurance to the McDougall Insurance Team

On behalf of McDougall Insurance we are pleased to announce that as of January 1st 2019 we are going to Dusome (more) Insurance in Barrie thanks to our merger with Dusome Insurance Group. Dusome Insurance Group is a large and very well respected brokerage in the Barrie area. It is a merger we are very excited about

The Dusome family has been serving the clients of Barrie and Simcoe County for over 30 years. Wayne and Glenn Dusome formed Dusome Insurance Group in 2003 . There are currently 11 employees including the management team of Glenn and Wayne Dusome. All 11 employees will remain with the organization at their current office location. The Dusome team have tremendous knowledge of the area and the industry and will now be able to couple that with some of the tools, relationships and resources that McDougall Insurance brings. The company phone numbers and the Dusome name will not be changed.

The Dusome office has a premium volume of $8 million and writes a combination of commercial, life and financial and personal lines insurance with a heavier focus towards the commercial side of insurance.

The merger gives McDougall Insurance over 30 office locations across Ontario and gives us well over 350 employees. For Dusome Insurance Group it also strengthens their brokerage as they now add more markets for their clients to access, new insurance products, and the ability to better service their customers.

We are very fortunate to have merged with another well respected brokerage and we believe they will be an excellent fit for our organization in every way. Our brokerages share the same core values in that; we care about our clients, employees and adding value to our communities. This adds to our recently acquired Marshall & Bulloch office in Orillia which we acquired in Nov. 2018.
