5 Fun Things to do at Your Cottage

Read a Book

When was the last time you were able to sit down and just read? Probably not recently enough. Reading for entertainment is an excellent activity – but it also offers a host of benefits including improved analytical reasoning, broader vocabulary and less stress.

Children love to play, but you’ll be surprised at just how well games can be enjoyed by the whole family. From Trivial Pursuit to more adult games like Balderdash and Scattergories, board games exercise the mind and develop a bond between players that you’ll be able to enjoy for the result of your life.

Go for a Walk

What is nicer then stretching your legs and enjoying the world like mother nature intended? If you answered “Nothing”, then walking is for you! You’ll be surprised how liberating and refreshing it is to just go for a wander without any real goals or plans, just for the sake of walking. It’s great exercise, and can clear your head better then anything else you can do at the cottage!

Now don’t go walking randomly into brush without thinking – that would be a historically bad idea. Tell someone that you are going for a walk, or even better, bring a buddy along! If someone know when you are supposed to be back, they can take action if something bad happens. Morning Boat Ride

Yeah getting up early isn’t exactly fun, but it’s worth it – especially if you go to bed early the night before, after… I don’t know… a relaxing day of reading.
