Welcome Schooley Insurance to the McDougall Insurance Team!

As of Saturday June 1st the McDougall Insurance Family adds another member! We acquired the Crain and Schooley book of commercial lines business in Perth and Carleton Place.

As part of this transaction we have opened a new office in Perth at 8 Wilson Street West, which will be staffed by Megan Schooley former President and shareholder in Crain and Schooley Insurance Brokers and two of her existing employees; Janee Rothwell and Mary Lynn Dales. In addition we will be enlarging our Carleton Place office to include Jason Schooley, former shareholder and commercial lines sales executive with Crain and Schooley, as well as Stacie McGill, who was a former commercial lines CSR on this portfolio. We are very excited to have the existing staff members remain with our organization.

The book of business totals about $6 million in commercial lines premiums and is a perfect fit with our current offices in that region and allows us to open a new office in Perth, which is a community that we have always wanted to be part of. The Crain and Schooley brand continues to be very strong in the region and having both Jason and Megan Schooley back in their home towns will help our relationships with clients in the area.

The new office in Perth will operate under the McDougall Insurance & Financial name and this means good things for the clients of Perth. Not only does it open up the opportunity for home and auto insurance for the existing commercial insurance clients. It also means access to more insurance markets, which means more options for coverage and pricing. As well as resources for our clients to take advantage of such as our self serve portal or our MyMcDougall platform.
