McDougall Insurance was founded in 1946, and over the course of nearly 70 years, has grown from a small 4 person office in downtown Belleville to being the largest insurance broker in Eastern Ontario. Cobourg

With the purchase of Ray Bickle Insurance Brokers in 1989, McDougall Insurance established a presence in Cobourg, a presence that has continued to grow rapidly in the quarter century we’ve operated in the area. Courtice

In 2000 McDougall Insurance was able to have it’s Courtice office opened. There McDougall Insurance not only gained its first presence in Courtice, but also the surrounding areas of Oshawa, Bowmanville and Clarington. Courtice has proven a great place for auto insurance, and we also deal in Courtice’s property and business insurance as well.

Deep River

McDougall Insurance has only recently started to provide service to the Deep River area, having made two purchases in the last five years (Pearson Insurance in 2010 and then Hickey Insurance in 2011). These two offices have joined with McDougall Insurance to offer our customers the best customer service in Deep River Auto, Property and Commercial insurance.

Eganville

Eganville was added to the McDougall footprint when McDougall Insurance finalized the purchase of Donald C. Johnson Insurance in 2001. In the past decade we have become a premier negotiator for Eganville auto insurance, Eganville property insurance and Eganville commercial insurance.

Gananoque

Part of the newest addition to McDougall Insurance as of 2013, Gananoque was a logical addition to McDougall Insurance’s increased focus on Eastern Ontario and the thousand islands. The second part of the 2013 purchase of Bickerton Insurance, Mcdougall Insurance is very excited to be a part of the Kingston Insurance landscape for the first time in decades. McDougall Insurance began operating in Madoc through the purchase of Frank Downey Insurance brokers in 1985, hoping to grow the small and predominantly auto-focused insurance brokerage. Napanee

Now one of McDougall Insurance’s favourite cities, it’s hard to imagine that Napanee has only had McDougall Insurance as on option since 2008. The addition of George A. Grant insurance to McDougall Insurance has proved invaluable in the past half decade. Oshawa

The most western of all of McDougall Insurance’s offices, the Oshawa branch was created in 2002 through the purchase of Appleton Insurance. Since then we’ve worked hard to bring Oshawa the best in auto insurance, property insurance and of course commercial insurance.

Pembroke

One of the newer members of the McDougall family, the Pembroke branch began in 2010 with the purchase of Pearson Insurance. Pembroke offers auto and property insurance, while also having great expertise in commercial and liability insurance.

Picton

Picton is a small town that stands for everything McDougall Insurance loves: Dependability, resiliance, friendliness and responsibility. Picton was our first branch office ever, opened in 1952, however we quickly sold that office and remained out of Picton until 1994. In that year, we bought Don Stanton Insurance Brokers, the same brokerage that had purchased our original branch office from us, all the way back in the 1950s. McDougall Insurance prides ourselves in offering amazing insurance to the residents of Picton, for their auto insurance, property insurance, farm insurance and of course small business insurance needs.

Stirling

Stirling is a quirky small office McDougall Insurance established to offer life insurance products. It may not be our largest location, but with dedicated staff and a keen focus, Stirling Financial offers life insurance solutions tailored to you.

Trenton

It’s no suprise that McDougall Insurance cares alot about Trenton, and Quinte West in general, having our headquarters so close by in Belleville. The Trenton office was opened in 1989, kicking off a period of rapic growth by McDougall Insurance. The Trenton office deals with auto insurance, property insurance and even business insurance in Trenton and Quinte West.

Wellington

Part of the purchase that brought Don Stanton Insurance into Mcdougall Insurance was the branch office of Wellington. And since that move in 1994, McDougall Insurance has been proud to serve Wellington in it’s farm, automobile, property and commercial insurance needs.
