Welcome Excalibur Insurance to the Team!

We are happy to share that Excalibur Insurance Group Inc. has merged with our McFarlan Rowlands branches in Southwestern Ontario! The merger is official as of Sept. 1st, 2024.

Excalibur is a phenomenal insurance brokerage comprising of 30 staff operating out of 5 branches in an area just north of London, Ontario. Excalibur was first established in 1957 and has a rich history as a family business, as well as a reputation across the industry as being one of the best at online sales and utilizing technology to drive efficiency. They are also very aligned with our organization with their local community work. In 2018 Excalibur was awarded the “Agent for the Future Award” from Safeco Insurance. The award recognizes North American brokerages that go above and beyond for their community. Of course the $5,000 prize they won was donated by the Excalibur team to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation.

Jeff Roy, President and CEO, as well as Una Roy and Ken Colquhoun – the current management team of Excalibur – will all continue in their roles. Their staff and contact information will all remain the same as well. Excalibur will continue to operate under its existing brand and their clients can continue to expect the same great team and level of service that they have grown accustom to.

McDougall Insurance and McFarlan Rowlands are very excited about the acquisition! Excalibur will help bring further technologies and operational efficiencies to our organization and this will enable us to better serve our clients. The synergy created from acquisitions like this one with Excalibur insurance is a benefit to our brokerages and our clients.
